6 people suffer accident injuries in multiple-vehicle crash

On Behalf of | Dec 31, 2015 | Car Accidents

A car accident involving multiple vehicles has left six people with injuries, including a Pennsylvania law enforcement officer. The accident occurred along Lincoln Drive in Philadelphia, leaving two victims trapped inside the wreckage. Six victims were taken to the hospital for treatment for their accident injuries.

According to witness accounts, the wreck was caused by a sports utility vehicle that turned the corner at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the vehicle, crashing into the other vehicles from behind. The wreckage was severe, causing Pennsylvania law enforcement to close Lincoln Drive for a period of time. There is no word on the extent of the injuries, but five of the crash victims were taken to trauma centers for their injuries.

It is not known why the driver lost control of the vehicle, but many factors could have played a role in the crash. Distraction, speeding, drunk driving and other issues could lead to poor decisions behind the wheel, placing everyone on the road at risk. It is difficult to determine the cause of multiple-vehicle accidents, but an experienced lawyer can carefully evaluate the accident, identifying the underlying cause and liable parties.

After a serious and complex accident, it is important to seek legal help as soon as possible. With the right help, those suffering from accident injuries can obtain compensation for their pain and suffering. A personal injury claim cannot undo the damage that has been done, but it can help a victim and family along the road to recovery.
