A 54-year-old woman from Souderton was injured in a crash involving two vehicles on Sept. 18. The car accident occurred in Worcester Township around noon when an 18-year-old driver of a 2003 Jeep Liberty struck the woman's vehicle.

Pennsylvania motorcycling enthusiasts may find interesting one psychologist's findings that show drivers turning into the path of a motorcycle or smashing into it during a left turn may be due more to judgment errors in the human brain than to carelessness or bad driving. The Texas psychologist's new study was relevant to the nearly continual stream of news reports about auto accidents killing motorcyclists when the drivers of cars misjudge the bikers' distance. The main finding of the research was that smaller and closer objects can appear farther away than do larger objects that are actually more distant.

Pennsylvania worker crushed and airlifted to hospital

After losing positive control of an asphalt roller, a construction worker fell beneath the machinery. Officials hypothesize that one of its hydraulic lines broke, causing it to move forward erratically. After he tried to divert the machine from the roadway, it became unbalanced, and he fell on the ground face down. The machine continued rolling, and he was stuck underneath it. According to Monroeville Police, the incident took place in late August on an unspecified road around 15 miles from Pittsburgh.

Pennsylvania box truck accident kills 1

According to Delaware County authorities, one person was killed in an accident between a car and a box truck on Aug. 23. The accident took place in the 3200 block of Market Street in Upper Chichester at approximately 11:00 a.m. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. Depending on what the police report yields, the family of the person who was killed in the crash may be eligible to file a wrongful death lawsuit.
