Many suffer accident injuries in tour bus accident

On Behalf of | Dec 17, 2015 | Car Accidents

A recent bus accident in Pennsylvania sent a number of victims to the hospital for treatment for a myriad of injuries. The collision occurred along I-70 when the bus collided with a smaller vehicle, causing the bus to flip over. During the crash, the driver of the bus was ejected from his seat. Several passengers and the bus driver suffered accident injuries that required medical treatment.

The two vehicles were driving side by side along the Interstate when the other vehicle, a Honda CR-V, veered into the bus’ lane. After the Honda struck the bus, the tour bus driver lost control of the vehicle. It flipped over onto its side, the impact throwing the driver from the bus.

According to reports, injured passengers were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, and the driver was transported to one in Pittsburgh. As the driver suffered injuries while on the job, it is likely that he is entitled to workers’ compensation benefits. A third party claim against the owner and/or driver of the Honda CR-V may be a viable way to recover additional financial losses for pain and suffering and other damages.

Those who suffer accident injuries as a direct result of the negligent actions of another person have the right to seek financial compensation. If a worker in Pennsylvania individual suffers accident injuries while on the job, he or she can benefit from the assistance of a lawyer with experience in complex injury claims. An investigation of the accident can reveal if a third party may bear some financial responsibility for any damages incurred.
