You and most other people undoubtedly use some sort of manufactured product daily. These products can have a variety of uses, and you likely do not often give these products a second thought as far as causing you unexpected harm. Unfortunately, some foods, electronics, medical devices and even furniture could have defects that cause them to put consumers at risk of suffering serious injuries.
Samsung is having a really bad September. First, the company had to recall nearly a million of their new Galaxy Note 7 smart phones because of explosion risk, and now Samsung is recalling some washing machines for the same reason.
Because of 35 international incidents reported to Samsung about the Galaxy Note 7 overheating, the South Korean company recalled the new smart phone. Every single one of the nearly 1 million Note 7 phones that were sold before Sept. 15 were recalled, and since then, the complaints about overheating and other issues have quadrupled. So why are these phones overheating and sometimes bursting into flames?
What happens if your washing machine explodes and causes you serious injuries? Thankfully, this is a question most people never have to ask, but if it comes up, you will need to know what to do.
