Biography
Tony Cosentino has recovered over $85 million for victims of negligence and for injured Pennsylvania workers. Tony's cases involve motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, workers' compensation claims, construction accidents, liquor liability, premises liability and cases involving the general negligence of others. Over his career as a trial attorney, he has successfully represented firefighters, police officers, sheriffs, first responders, teachers, doctors, nurses, heavy equipment operators, welders, electricians, truck drivers, roofers, and warehouse workers.
Tony's legal victories have resulted in safer workplaces throughout central Pennsylvania, safety reforms in state agency practices, increased protections for the public, and the prosecution of businesses that failed to carry workers' compensation insurance.
In 2013, Tony became one of the first and one of the youngest attorneys to be certified as specialist by the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Section on Workers' Compensation. He was listed in the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers - Rising Stars from 2014 - 2020, which recognizes the top 2.5% of attorneys 40 years old or younger in Pennsylvania. He has secured several million and multi-million dollar recoveries for his clients, and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, National Trial Lawyers Top 100, National Association of Distinguished Counsel, and achieved a 10.0 rating from Avvo.
Tony is a past president of the Franklin County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division, serves on the Executive Board of the Franklin County Bar Association and currently serves as the President of the Franklin County Bar Association. He was appointed to serve as a Franklin County representative to the Pennsylvania Bar Association's House of Delegates from 2009-2018. Tony is a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. In the community, Tony provides pro bono services to Franklin County Legal Services and is a past recipient of the Chambersburg Rotarian of the Year award.
Tony attended Boston College and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After graduation, he attended the Temple University Beasley School of Law, serving on the editorial board of the Temple Journal of Science, Technology and Environmental Law and earning distinction in Temple Law's highly acclaimed trial advocacy program, ranked #1 in the nation. While in law school, Tony worked at the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg and in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office in New York City.
He and his wife live in Chambersburg.
