Jogger hurt in drunk driving car accident

Drunk driving is a danger to all drivers and passengers on Pennsylvania roads, but it also poses a unique risk to pedestrians, cyclists and joggers. A recent drunk driving car accident resulted in the serious injury of a jogger, underscoring the danger of this irresponsible and inexcusable action. A jogger was recently struck by a drunk driver, who then fled the scene of the accident. Police found shoes and blood at the scene of the crash, and the jogger was taken to a local Pennsylvania hospital for treatment. He sustained serious injuries to his head and other areas of the body. The jogger now deals with the nerve damage and memory problems, which are common side effects of serious head trauma. 

The injured jogger may be eligible for compensation for his pain and suffering caused by the drunk driver. Car accident victims have the right to file a civil claim against a negligent driver, holding the liable party accountable for the emotional trauma and financial losses that often accompany a serious crash. Drunk driving is a serious crime and hazard for innocent motorists, but victims have rights that should be protected.
